The Curriculum

The Zen 10 is a daily writing exercise that will help you get the creative centers of your brain flowing! By bringing your mind to focus list-making each day, you start building the habit of keeping your greatest desires in mind every day.

Everything in life from what we eat to what we say and do will either “cleanse” or “clog” us; meaning it will be helpful or harmful in reaching our goals. By eliminating 8 out of 10 clogs, we can drastically increase our well-being. This is the week to consider which “clogs” you’d like to let go of for good.

Self-care is of utmost importance. If you’re not taking proper care of yourself, how can you care for others? This week, you’ll write down all of your non-negotiables and choose which ones you’re committed to doing each week. These are the gifts we are committed to giving ourselves like a bubble bath, reading a book, or going to yoga.
Your mind is precious real estate; your very own fertile ground to plant the seeds of positivity and action. You carry this around with you all the time, which takes up a lot of space and energy in your mind. Clutter in your mind has a ripple effect, causing clutter throughout your life. So, it’s time to make space, and clear things out so that you can focus on your dreams. You’ll do this by making three powerful lists for your brain to snack on.
Sometimes it can be difficult to know exactly what we want in life. The great news is it’s so much easier to figure out what we don’t want. This exercise is meant to help you determine what you want by writing the opposite of the thing you don’t want.
One of the most difficult things to do is figure out what beliefs you have that are holding you back. This exercise is meant to help you find a common thread in your major trouble area. Afterwards you will also find a surprise bonus to help start changing your beliefs into ones that serve you. It all starts by asking yourself one question.
Map out the ripple effect of your actions every day. Because every decision you make can eventually ripple out become a massive wave and alter the course of life forever. Ripple effects open new doors, create new opportunities, introduce new people into our lives, or cause us to see the world differently.
Now that you’ve learned about yourself and what you want for your life, it’s time to make some BIG goals. You’ll take stock of every area of your life and write one major goal for each one.
It’s time to take action! In this exercise, you’ll choose the most important item in your Magic 8, and map out action steps that you can start taking now to make it real. At the end of this exercise, you’ll have a complete, simple, and detailed action plan.
